Bergen is situated between seven mountains and there are many paths and hiking trails through the entire area. Like a lot of other things about Bergen, there is disagreement about which seven of the many tops actually constitute De Syv Fjell but here are the most popular candidates:
Ulriken (643m): Start from Montana Youth Hostel or use the cable car to the top
Rundemannen (568m): Accessed from Fløyen.
Løvstakken (474m): Trails from Løvstakkveien, Fjøsanger and Fyllingsdalen.
Sandviksfjellet (418m): From Fjellveien a famous route is up Stoltzekleiven and a nice way to get back down is via Skredderdalen.
Fløyen (399m): Many trails and activity areas. Walk up, or take Funicular, from Vetrlidsallmenningen in town centre, or from Øyjord, Munkebotn, or Svartediket.
Lyderhorn (396m): Reached on a hiking trail from Lyngbø.
Damsgårdsfjellet (317m): The lowest of the seven mountains and covered in easy trails.
Here is a link to a map showing some of the many trails around Bergen.
